1st tunnel of Nagaland railways complete

Kohima, Jun 08 (UNI) The rail link between Dhansiri Railway Station of North East Frontier Railway in Assam and Zubza in Nagaland with an estimated distance of 83-kms, witnessed the first tunnel breakthrough yesterday, roughly three years after the foundation stone for the project was laid in August 2016 by the then Union Railway Minister.

According to official sources today the project, which involves building of nearly 190 bridges and almost 26 km of tunnels, has languished for more than a decade and seen cost escalation during these years.
