New Delhi, Aug 9 (UNI) Akshaya Patra Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation, working to eliminate hunger, as well as bring the kids to school, has reached as far as Dadra and Nagar Haveli, to serve hot and wholesome food to 51,000 children in 338 schools.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, the organisation has collaborated with the MUFG Bank Ltd, the banking entity of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), to commence mid-day meal feeding in Silvassa, the capital of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
This is the Foundation’s second kitchen, to be constructed with the support of MUFG, which would serve safe and nutritious meals for children in Government and Government-aided schools in the Union Territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
