Guwahati, May 29 (UNI) With two days to go for end of the current nationwide lockdown against COVID 19, the Assam government today said that it wants the night curfew to continue.
Talking to reporters here, state Health and Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Except for the night curfew, we are okay with resumption of other activities. We want to continue with the curfew as it is helping us. It can be from 9 pm instead of 7 pm."
"But beyond that, we want other normal activities to resume. Shopping malls and educational institutions can also open gradually. Once the people get accustomed to the health and hygiene rules, it can function in full swing," he added.
