Govt contemplates several schemes to attract more tourists to UT: Minister

Puducherry, Sept 20 (UNI) The Puducherry government is contemplating several schemes to attract more tourists to the Union Territory and develop Tourism here, Minister for Tourism Malladi Krishna Rao said on Thursday.

Inaugurating a Tourism related conference in Puducherry, Mr.Rao said that the government is not in a position to function fast because of certain hindrances. The necessities of tourists need to be fulfilled. But every attempt of the government is being stalled. Mr.Rao was apparently referring to Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi’s action.
