Heatwave continues in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Jun 8 (UNI) The sweltering heatwave sweeping the state persisted on Saturday, as the maximum temperature was recorded around two degrees high of normal during last 24 hours, the Met Office said.
Maximum temperature in the foothills was recorded 40 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature of Una was recorded 42 degrees on Saturday, which was 43 degrees Celsius on Friday, followed by Hamirpur at 39.5 degrees, Bilaspur district 40 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi was 39.1 degrees, Mandi 38.4 degrees, Kangra 38.3 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 36.6 degrees, Solan 36.5 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 36.2 degrees.
