Srinagar, Dec 5 (UNI) Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) chairman Haji Mohammad Yaseen Khan was arrested to prevent him from joining protests against the alleged Human Rights (HR) violations by security forces in the Kashmir valley.
The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik, has urged people to hold peaceful candle light protests for a week from December 3 against the HR violations.
Meanwhile, about half-a-dozen members of KTMF were also taken into custody near Lal Chowk, the nerve centre of summer capital, Srinagar.
