Medical doctors in Meghalaya condemns “barbaric acts of violence” on Dr Mukherjee

Shillong, Jun 15 (UNI) Medical doctors in Meghalaya on Saturday strongly condemned the “barbaric acts of violence” on Dr P Mukherjee, NRSMCH, Kolkata who was performing his duty as an intern.
Resident Doctors Association of North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences and Medical Staff of Nazareth Hospital urged the government to take stringent steps to ensure the rule of law and safety of its citizens.
“This inhuman and insane act of violence is not justifiable in any way. We are shocked and enraged at the indifference and failure of the government of West Bengal to protect the doctors community working there,” NRDA President, Dr Synrang Batngen Warjri said.
