Meghalaya provides financial aid to workers

Shillong, May 29 (UNI) The Meghalaya government has provided financial assistance to 86, 405 workers out of the 1.84 lakh who had registered with the government in the unorganised sector affected by the COVID-19 lockdown, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed on Friday.

He said the remaining balance of 95,000 workers will be transferred to the respective bank accounts once the State Labour department sorts out the banking issue.
