Nagaland & Taiwan meet on cooperation in bamboo sector

Kohima, May 28 (UNI) To seek technical cooperation from Taiwan for technical collaboration in the bamboo sector for value addition and its promotion, a meeting was held today between Ambassador of Taiwan to India Chung Kwang Tien and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at Nagaland House in R K Puram of New Delhi.
According to an official release, the meeting was chaired by Abu Metha, Adviser to Chief Minister and attended by officials from the Embassy of Taiwan including Frank T F Tsay, Assistant Ambassador and Prof. Dr Henry H Chen, Counselor and Director of Science and Technology Division, Embassy of Taiwan along with officials from Nagaland including Jyoti Kailash, Principal Resident Commissioner, Imtirenla Jamir, Mission Director, NBDA, Kethosituo Sekhose, Deputy Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi, Kamesh Salam, President of South Asia Bamboo Foundation & Consultant, NBDA and Dr. Tolto Metha, Team Member, NBDA.
The key focus of the meeting was to seek technical cooperation from Taiwan for technical collaboration in the bamboo sector for value addition and its promotion.
