Sikkim CM urges centre to reserve seats for Limboo Tamangs

Gangtok, Jun 11 (UNI) Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Tuesday, requested Union Home Minister of State, GK Reddy to reserve seats for Limboo Tamangs in Sikkim Legislative Assembly.
Mr Tamang who is presently in Delhi for six days also raised the issue of recognising 11 left out communities as Tribals. This, he said would make opportunities available to them at par with other Tribals.
After his meeting with Mr Reddy, the Chief Minister met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and apprised him about the need to strengthen borders, requested to upgrade Pakyong Airport and make it functional all round the year.
