Thunderstorm likely over Kerala, Lakshadweep during May 13-17

Thiruvananthapuram, May 13 (UNI) Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph was likely at one or two places over Kerala and Lakshadweep during May 13 to 17, a local MeT statement said on Wednesday.
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph was very likely along and off Kerala coast and over Maldives and Lakshadweep areas. Fishermen were advised not to venture into these areas.
A low pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Sea. It is very likely to concentrate into a depression over central Bay of Bengal on May 15 and further intensify into a cyclonic storm on May 16.
