Agartala, Aug 24 (UNI) The state unit of ruling of BJP has announced the schedule of organisational election from the top post to the lowest one.
The party’s Election In-charge Pradyot Kumar Dhar said election of BJP president of National Council members will be held between first half of December.
However, elections for Booth Committee, Mandal and District level committees and their presidents will also be conducted during second half of September, October and November respectively,he said adding that preparation for the exercise has already been started.
He stated that BJP since beginning has been practicing democratic process for each and every post of party functionaries. The party is committed to ensuring cent per cent democracy within the party for better functioning and proper election to all the posts of the party has been ensured from national level to the booths.
All the district and Mandal presidents were asked to submit the list of active members and primary members by this month; so that the process of election to the key posts can be done as per the schedule, Dhar stated. However, the membership drive is allowed till end of the month and the active membership of the party has already crossed 6 lakh, he added.
