Thunderstorm observed in parts of India

Pune, Aug 24 (UNI) Thunderstorm were observed at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
The southwest Monsoon has been active over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and coastal Karnataka. It has been subdued over Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Gujarat Region.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Telangana; Heavy rainfall at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi, south Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Assam and Meghalaya, Lakshadweep, coastal Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
