ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A woman has been convicted in a 2017 Albany bank robbery, according to the US Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia’s Office.

A tweet from the office said Kamilyah Whitlock, 25, of Albany, was convicted Thursday on bank robbery and brandishing a firearm charges in the Renasant Bank armed robbery on November 6, 2017.

According to the tweet, a sentencing date has not yet been set for Whitlock.

Shataz Hampton, 25, is also facing bank robbery and brandishing a gun charges for the same bank robbery.

FBI agents arrested him in January at the Dougherty County Courthouse when he went to answer a traffic ticket.

Agents said they found a stolen gun inside the car he was driving. They also testified that Hampton’s shotgun, the same model and make seen in the bank robbery surveillance video, was found in an empty lot in Tampa, miles from his brother’s home.

Hampton is currently being held without bond.
