BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The roadway into the Riverbend Farms subdivsion is still flooded.

But Fox6 News saw several people in large trucks able to drive through the water. One long-time resident drove us into the neighborhood.

Water was still two feet deep or more in some places on the road. But it is going down.

Some yards still have a lot of water in them. Once you’re in the subdivision it’s not that hard to get around.

Ricky Seales said many people who have experienced similar flooding over time know how to deal with it.

“You make a decision either to stay or to leave. And most people park their vehicle up at the boat landing and will stay in. And if you got to go in and out you’ll go by boat on the river,” Seales told Fox6 News.

Some people already started cleaning debris from flood waters that made it into roads and yards. That will get easier as flood waters continue to drop.
