Memphis, Birmingham mayors wage bet on AAF game

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Mayor Jim Strickland has accepted a bet from the mayor of Birmingham, Alabama and it’s all for a good cause.
The winner and loser will be determined by the outcome of this weekend’s Alliance of American Football game when the Memphis Express take on the Birmingham Iron.
Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin tweeted Friday, saying if the Iron wins the Express has to buy lunch for the A.G. Gaston Boys and Girls Club. And if the Express wins the Iron will donate to the Mid-South Food Bank.
Strickland accepted the challenge. You can see who comes out on top Sunday at 3 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
