Longtime Londonderry High School band director Andrew Soucy has announced he is retiring.Soucy told News 9 on Tuesday night that the choice to step down was a family decision. He joked that he is the "oldest person in the building" at LHS. Soucy said he is thankful for the support of the school community and that it has been an honor to work with the kids. In the last 45 years, Soucy has taken the band to perform at both inaugurations for President Barack Obama, the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York, and the Tournament of Roses parade five times.
LONDONDERRY, N.H. —
Longtime Londonderry High School band director Andrew Soucy has announced he is retiring.
Soucy told News 9 on Tuesday night that the choice to step down was a family decision.
