‘Suspected suicide’ investigation in Montgomery park

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department is releasing some details regarding an investigation its officers have been conducting for much of the day at Vaughn Road Park.
Police and fire vehicles are on the scene at the east Montgomery park where crime scene tape is roping off the area near the playground.
Montgomery police say they are “working a suspected suicide investigation,” but couldn’t provide any other details.
As as general policy, WSFA 12 News does not typically report on suicides. However, given the public nature of the investigation and viewer questions, we’ve made a decision to report what we’ve learned about the situation.
