Approximately 2,500 gallons of sewage had leaked out of the tanker, prompting a need for a hazardous materials, or hazmat, team. That’s when a request was made for assistance from Montgomery Fire and Rescue and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.

MFR said there were no injuries in the crash, which was cleared around 2:35 p.m.
