TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Supercuts Hair Salon is back in Tallahassee after disappearing a couple of years ago.

The first Super cuts originally opened in 1999 in Tallahassee and at one time there were five salons, but a year and a half ago they suddenly disappeared.

They went out of business for a variety of reasons, mostly economic. Now, new local ownership is bringing them back in a big way, with three new locations in the Capital City.

Owner Chris Sansom says the new salons offer a broad variety of services that no other salon in their category offers such as coloring, highlighting, full hair services, waxing, and a little something extra.

"One thing we offer that we offer that is different is a tea tree experience. Which is a shampoo and hot towel treatment which adds a little extra to the experience," said Sansom.

Supercuts three locations are at Miracle Plaza on Thomasville Road, West Tennessee by the new Target, and in Village Commons.

Tuesday is the soft opening on West Tennessee and the grand opening will be later in March.

Village Commons will also be open in March and the Thomasville Road location is open now.
