TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A 19-year-old is behind bars after a road rage incident with shots fired near Mission Road and Tharpe Street.
Deputies were in the area of Mission Road and Tharpe Street when a road rage incident occurred.
Arrest documents say that deputies say a white Infiniti speeding down the center turn lane attempting to pass another car that was going the same way. As both cars approached the intersection of Mission Road and Tharpe Street, they both ended up stopping in the middle of the road.
Deputies say the white Infinite then turned on Pecan Road, followed by a black Chevy Impala, seemingly chasing the Infiniti. As deputies tried to catch up with the vehicles, they got a call that shots were fired in the same area.
When they spoke with the victim who was driving the black Impala at Savannah Crossing Apartments, she said that the people inside the white Infiniti shot at her car.
Documents say that deputies later learned that 19-year-old Davon Faulk, who was driving the Infiniti, fired a gun in the air twice while driving north on Mission Road. According to deputies, Faulk was upset because a driver had cut him off at the intersection of Tharpe Street and Mission Road.
When they talked to Faulk, he said that the driver made him upset, so he wanted to scare the driver by shooting his gun in the air. Further investigation revealed that the gun Faulk shot was stolen.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Faulk was arrested and charged with grand theft of a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
