TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – A man has been arrested for trafficking and manufacturing large amounts of drugs in Tallahassee.

According to court documents, on Monday at 2:12 p.m., Tallahassee police searched Silverleaf Apartments based on information that someone had recently purchased drugs from 29-year-old Erick Gibson.

Before entering, police approached a vehicle that was in front of the targeted apartment after spotting Gibson in the driver’s seat.

Documents say officers searched Gibson and he admitted to having a gun in his pocket. They also found cannabis, two cell phones and a set of apartment keys on him.

Police then searched the apartment and found two bags of cocaine, one bag of heroin, an empty bottle of codeine, and a digital scale inside the kitchen.

Next, officers found more cocaine in the living room and in the bedroom. They also found a gun and multiple drugs including meth, Alpha-PVP pills and promethazine pills.

Documents say police later searched the vehicle Gibson was in and found more drugs and paraphernalia such as crack cocaine, hydrocodone pills, a digital scale and a razor blade.

After investigating, police say Gibson spontaneously told them “he did not have any knowledge of what was in the residence, but all the items in the vehicle were his.”

In total police found:

  • Over 92 grams of power cocaine
  • Over 14 grams of crack cocaine
  • Over 4 grams of Ecstasy
  • Over 2 grams of meth

  • Over 28 grams in prescription drugs
  • Less than 20 grams of cannabis

According to documents, Gibson was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility on a series of drug charges including, trafficking cocaine, manufacturing crack cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Documents say Gibson has since bonded out.
