With temperatures in the 90s it was indeed the dog days of summer on Saturday at the South Boston Farmers Market for the third annual “Hot Dog Days of Summer.” South Boston Town Manager Tom Raab joined Mayor Ed Owens and members of town council in grilling hot dogs with all the fixings for browsers and vendors alike. Market visitors braved the heat and humidity to grab a hot dog and sample some of councilman Bill Snead’s homemade chili, and at the same time they searched for produce from squash and beans to farm fresh eggs.
