(670 The Score) Kris Dunn will get the first look at the Bulls' starting point guard when they host the Bucks in their preseason opener at the United Center on Monday evening.

Dunn will start alongside guard Zach LaVine, small forward Otto Porter Jr., power forward Lauri Markkanen and center Cris Felicio, coach Jim Boylen said after shootaround. Center Wendell Carter Jr. (tailbone), center Luke Kornet (turf toe), small forward Chandler Hutchison (hamstring), guard Shaq Harrison (hamstring) are out for the Bulls on Monday evening.

Dunn gets the nod at point guard over Tomas Satoransky, who agreed to a three-year, $30-million deal with the Bulls in July. The point guard spot is the lone open competition in training camp for the Bulls, who will start LaVine, Porter, Markkanen and Carter regularly.

"I want to see him play efficient basketball," Boylen said of Dunn. "I want to see his decisions to be solid. I want him to be the most dominant defensive player on the floor.

Boylen plans to use a variety of lineups throughout the preseason.

"This team has versatility," Boylen said. "What I’m hoping for is durability and availability."

Porter will only play in the first half, Boylen said, as the Bulls look to keep the workloads of their main players light.

Kornet and Hutchison have both been out for all of training camp but have optimistic outlooks now. Kornet participated fully in the Bulls' live shootaround Monday morning and is expected to practice Tuesday and be available to play Wednesday. Hutchison is also expected to practice for the Bulls on Tuesday.

"It's exciting to me," Boylen said. "We're starting to get some bodies back."
