Location announced for American Idol auditions coming to Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Are you the next American Idol?

Thousands of hopefuls will be in Raleigh on Sept. 1 to audition for the next season of the television phenomenon.

Registration is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You must be registered to audition.

If you want to sign up for an in-person audition, click here.

Auditions will be held at the Duke Energy Center. Auditions begin at 9 a.m.
