On Saturday June 6, the Birmingham Police Department announced a homicide investigation was underway after a person was found shot in the passenger seat of a car.

The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Brenda Lee Jordan.

Around 4:11 p.m., Birmingham Police said officers responded to a call of a person being shot in the 6800 block of 1st Ave North at the Sunoco Gas station.
