Study: South Carolina named among 'Most Patriotic States in America'

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Fourth of July is right around the corner, and a new study has found that South Carolina residents are among the most patriotic across the nation.

According to a study by WalletHub, South Carolina is the 8th-most "Patriotic States in America" in 2019.

The study looked at 13 metrics to give each state a score. Some of these metrics included "veterans per 1,000 civilian adults" and "AmeriCorps volunteers per capita."

WalletHub also found that South Carolina had the 3rd-highest number of military enlistees.
