Org claims discrepancies in Changlagam to Rocham BRTF road

ITANAGAR, Aug 21: The Social Vigilance Team (SVT) has written to the Special Investigation Cell superintendent of police here, seeking investigation into the alleged discrepancies related to the disbursement of land compensation and property survey of the BRTF road from Changlagam to Rocham in Changlam circle of Anjaw district.
The SVT claimed that an amount of Rs 24, 00, 00, 000 was disbursed by the district administration to the land owners recently against the said road.
It said that the property survey and land compensation “was prepared as per the whims of the authorities concerned in connivance with some unscrupulous persons.”
The organisation alleged that the land in question “was mostly uninhabited and uncultivated” and “an inflated bill was prepared showing imaginary horticulture/ agriculture crops and buildings,” adding that: “Many undeserving people got the compensation fraudulently by depriving genuine land owners off their rightful compensation.”
The SVT has asked the SP to take cognizance of the matter and appealed for impartial investigation on the matter.
