INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy sophomore
Cailyn Henderson was named the GLVC Women's Golf Player of the Week, as announced by league officials Thursday. A native of nearby Carmel, Ind., Henderson swayed the vote after winning her first collegiate medal at the
William Beall Fall Classic on Tuesday.
Â
Henderson topped a 96-woman field at the Findlay-hosted event. She fired scores of 71-73-72 for an even-par 216 and a three-stroke win. In the process, she led the Greyhounds to another team title – their second in as many DII tournaments this fall.
Â
Today's announcement marks the first GLVC weekly award for Henderson. The Greyhounds have now garnered each of the last two conference weekly nods, as teammate
Pilar Echeverria earned the honor last Thursday.
