Rendering: Proposed mixed-use build could link to Atlantic Station via pedestrian bridge

The groundswell of office development in and around Atlantic Station shows no sign of stopping.

At 400 Bishop Street, in Atlantic Station’s backyard, a 130,000-square-foot mixed-use development is expected to rise later this year, according to project backers.

A new rendering released by Colliers International on LoopNet shows a long, slender six-floor complex complete with ground-level retail and a green-covered rooftop.

The Development Authority of Fulton County is scheduled to discuss the $50 million project at a meeting later today.

The development promises to create 600 full-time jobs and feature 120,000 square feet of office space above 10,000 square feet of retail.

The Bishop Street commercial complex is slated to link to Atlantic Station by way of a pedestrian bridge, according to the DAFC meeting agenda.

The project is expected to be finished in 2021.

Hines

The planned development joins a substantial roster of other anticipated office builds at and around Atlantic Station.

At the shopping district, for instance, Hines is developing the wood-framed T3 West Midtown and Atlantic Yards office stacks.

Across the expressway, the dual-tower Midtown Union proposal recently landed Invesco (and 500 jobs) as a tenant.
