Late summer has been rife with restaurant and bar closings in Austin, from Daphne’s Mediterranean, Red Porch’s two satellite locations, Avery Ranch wine bar Rotten Bunch, to East Austin bar Craftsman. The hits keep coming with the latest two shutters: Jenna’s Asian Kitchen and Austin Ale House:

NEAR ANDERSON MILL — Pan-Asian restaurant Jenna’s Asian Kitchen closed at 12300 Ranch Road 620 North sometime in mid-July, as confirmed by the restaurant. Original owners Min and Jenna Choe opened the restaurant in March 2015, featuring a menu that spanned Chinese, Korean, and general Asian fusion fare. They sold the restaurant in 2018 to new unnamed owners. Min and Jenna Choe still operate Chinese-American food delivery company Tso.

DOWNTOWN — The large Austin Ale House appears to be closed on 301 West 6th Street, as reported by Austin Business Journal. The shutter seems to have happened sometime earlier this month. The phone number rings out currently. The general New American restaurant with a beer focus opened in 2013.
