Heavy rains lash Bengaluru today, IMD predicts rainfall till May 30
On Sunday, Bengaluru witnessed heavy rainfall in different parts of the city. The MET department has predicted rainfall in the city till May 30.
The MET department further stated that the sky would be partly cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature in the city is likely to be 36 degrees Celcius. It may further drop to 34 degrees as the week progresses.
In a statement, IMD stated that while there are no heavy rainfall warnings for Monday and Tuesday (May 25 and 26), the weather department forecast 'heavy rain with thunderstorm and lighting accompanied by gusty winds' at isolated places over Chikmagalur, Hassan, Kodagu Mandya, Shivamogga and Mysuru Districts of South InteriorKarnataka on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (May 27, 28 and 29).
Meanwhile, four electric poles have fallen to the ground after heavy rainfall in Mattikere on Sunday.
