Go for this Kannada play
Life is about small details than bigger definitions. Love, anticipation, desperation, and dreams make life a well-garnished experience and these smaller notes are what makes life worth living. The compilation of small stories in Vasudhendra’s Mithuna, based on the Telugu original by Sriramana, is one such experience and gives a sense of life fulfilled with these smaller elements without much pomp and glory of intellectual reasoning. The Kannada play, Simhachalam Sampige, is a effort to bring to the stage elements that make life beautiful.

Big tunes
Aqua Dominatrix Flesh Album Tour is an audio-visual live show that combines musician Akshay Rajpurohit’s dark synth-pop with visual artist Moebius’s (Nikunj Patel) metaphysical linework. Aqua Dominatrix is producer Akshay Rajpurohit’s pseudonym for an electronic avatar comprising of free floating SynthPop, verging on Techno. He is also a part of popular metal bands Scribe and Pangea. The alias, Aqua Dominatrix, sees him leap out of his comfort zone into a world of analog synthesis. As part of the Consolidate collective based out of the city, Rishabh aka Worms’ Cottage has been consistently releasing work over the past three years. His use of outlandish vocals with electronic music that tiptoes between pop sensibilities and the bizarre allows him to explore strange dreamlike landscapes. Daisho is the electronic music alias of designer and futurist, Angad Bharaj. Currently Daisho has set up base in Bengaluru, experimenting with sounds for his debut LP while working closely with Boxout FM where he hosts a monthly show, The Atyp Hour, sharing his inspirations and music from across the globe.

The music hunter
Jamie Tiller has an often unrivalled knack for rescuing a seemingly endless supply of discarded musical gems from the murky depths of the record underworlds.
One-time record dealer, Tiller has been digging since a young age, travelling extensively across European cities and backwaters alike. At the forefront of discovery, he can increasingly be heard championing these finds through DJ sets across planet Earth. Casting a wide musical net, from African electronics to Japanese Wave, oddball House to outsider Pop, his sets are constrained neither by genre nor tempo. Rather he has a unique musical sensibility which allows him to seamlessly join the dots between musical sounds that few others could bring together; turning dance floors worldwide upside down and inside out. Catch him in action this evening.

Working with metal
Fandom presents a night of metal mayhem with behemoths – Bhoomi, and Eccentric Pendulum. Belonging to Bengaluru, Bhoomi was formed in April 2002 and quickly rose to prominence in the Indian metal circuit. Eccentric Pendulum, whereas, is a progressive heavy/thrash/death metal band, which was formed in 2008. They were the first Indian band to play at Wacken Open Air (Germany) in 2011 and SWR Metal gathering (Portugal) in 2012. Still among Indian metal’s underrated lot, despite their many accolades and international appearances, Eccentric Pendulum stick to doing what they’ve always done and the results are there to see in their music.
