The Billings Police Department is investigating two possibly related knifepoint robberies from early Thursday morning.
The first robbery at a Cenex gas station at 1544 Broadwater Ave., was reported at about 2:27 a.m. The second, at the Lucky's Casino at Grand and 13th Street West, occurred at about 8:15 a.m.
The Cenex robbery involved a man with a knife wearing a white hood and a black mask. No one was injured and he left with "a small amount of cash," after threatening the clerk, according to BPD Sgt. Glenn Gunther. That investigation was ongoing at the time Gunther announced the robbery on social media around 5 a.m.
The second, similar robbery at the Lucky's Casino involved a white man dressed in black, wearing a bandanna and a beanie. He flashed a knife at an employee and left through the back door with cash, said BPD Lt. Mark Cady. The suspect was later seen getting into a white Ford pickup. He appeared to be in his early 20s, Cady reported on social media.

Standing outside of Lucky's Casino, Cady said there was a good chance the two knife-point robberies were related.
Police were reviewing security camera footage at the casino robbery, he said.
