One man died and two more were hurt in a one-vehicle crash Thursday in southern Wyoming, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
The three were in a car traveling east on Interstate 80 west of Lyman when the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado drifted in to the left side of the road and overturned, and rolled.
The driver, 51-year-old Alfonso Ortiz, and the front passenger, 40-year-old Julio Hernandez, both from Victorville, California, were taken to Evanston Regional Hospital for injuries. Both were wearing seat belts, according to WHP.
The back passenger, 37-year-old Theodore Earring from Batesland, South Dakota, died on scene. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
Investigators suspect driving too fast and slick road conditions contributed to the crash.
