What should replace Albany gastropub?

Photo via Facebook.

Capital City Gastropub in Albany closed Sunday (7/14) after eight years, six under the current owners. No public reason has been given for the closure, but, given the strong neighborhood allegiance to the building as a dining spot, it seems almost sure to be replaced by another restaurant/eatery.

What would you like to see there? Post suggestions in the comments below.

This is the perfect space to bring back a high-quality coffee shop/coffee house in my New Scotland Ave neighborhood. The Bagel Baron often had lines out the door back in the 1990s. Putting in a good quality coffee shop and/or coffee and bagel shop is exactly what the neighborhood needs and could be a gold mine! And of course a nice gathering place.
