‘Luxury’ storage facility set for Boise

Go To My Garage plans a series of ‘luxury garage condos” on Federal Way near Gowen Rd.

Scott Jones and Joe Tweit teamed up on the project to bring as many as 20 storage units with upgraded amenities to a 1.73 acre site at 6323 S. Federal Way, according to permit filings with the City of Boise.

The idea, according to the permit application is to “Provide quality garage, toy storage and personal storage.”

Instead of the typical monthly rental, the project is selling individual units for $138,000 to $188,000 depending on size. Each unit also has a monthly condo fee for property maintenance and security.

Owners could convert the units into “luxury garage condos, business headquarters, custom and recreational vehicle storage and protection,” according to GTMG’s website.

Each unit includes a bathroom, 325 square foot loft, plumbing, utility sink, gas heat and lines for cable and phone.

Go To My Garage will be built in two phases, with the first twelve units served up first, and another eight constructed later.

Federal Way has seen an influx of storage unit projects in recent years.

The project passed design review just more than a year ago, with construction underway in recent weeks.
