StageDotO, the Seattle-founded venture capital firm that put down roots in Boise opened a downtown Boise office recently.
The Idaho Tech Council notes the firm leased a former mansion at 110 Main St. for its Idaho offices. It will share the space with some of the firms it invests in. One of those, PlexTrac, builds analytics solutions in the cybersecurity space. It landed one of StageDotO’s first investments last summer, providing seed money to the Boise startup.
The firm moved its headquarters from Seattle to Boise, and announced a $50 million fund aimed at growing Idaho startup businesses. The fund was announced during the 2019 Capital Connect conference, and quickly won plaudits from former Boise Mayor Dave Bieterduring last year’s State of the City.
The office space at 110 Main Street sits inside a home built in 1905 for a hotel and mine owner who built his wealth in Silver City and Idaho City at the turn of the 20th century. The mansion exhibits a neoclassical style with large columns along Main St. and sandstone from the Table Rock quarry.
