After delays, new Bench brewpub moves closer to reality

In early November of 2018, we told you about the Bench House Brewing Company.  Cade Beck, Derek Brown and Christy Brown applied to build a new watering hole at 4795 W. Emerald St.

The old office building along Emerald will finally get a revamp after several rounds of permitting from the City of Boise. A new patio along Pond St. will provide outdoor space, in addition to the 3,523 square foot interior space. The plans call for seating for 44 people.

Bench House just applied for a permit for the $300,760 interior remodel. The new layout will include a taproom, kitchen cooler, bar, and seating areas.

“At Bench House Brewing, we love craft beer and our community,” business owners wrote on their website. “As avid cyclists, artists and scientists we want to show our community what each of these fields can add to our community and to the beer scene. We hope you enjoy your time with us at Bench House Brewing Co.”

No opening date for Bench House Brewing Co., just yet. Bench House will also have a new neighbor when The Commons climbing gym opens next door – also set for this year.
