Reality TV hosts plan small Boise subdivision

The company behind the Boise Boys reality TV show hopes to break into the infill subdivision game in Boise.

Timber and Love applied with the City of Boise to construct the Greenway Subdivision on Wylie Ln. near the river. The site currently includes a house and large shop building.

Timber and Love hopes to win approval from the City of Boise to build 12 single-family homes on the site.

12 new homes

“We have included residential conceptual elevations showing a blend of contemporary and mid-century architecture for the proposed residents,” Colleen Carroll with Timber and Love wrote in an application letter. “We have also included a floor plan anticipating a mixture of 3 and 4 bedroom homes of approximately 2405 sq ft. All the homes will have 2 car garages with driveway aprons for additional guest parking.

The project would build a new street of Wylie Ln. to access the houses. The company wants Boise to let them skip the city’s requirement to build the street with curbing, gutters or sidewalks. They say drainage “considerations” and lack of sidewalks on Wylie Ln. led them to ask the city to not build sidewalks for this project.

“The Boise River Greenbelt access is less than 1,000 feet away from our parcel which will provide easy access for walking, biking, recreational enjoyment of the Boise River, and an easy short commute to Downtown Boise.”

Nearly two dozen people attended a neighborhood meeting in February. The project will go up for approval on August 3rd. Residents can weigh in at 6pm in person at Boise City Hall, or via virtual attendance.

The company is owned by Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson, who host the Boise Boys series on HGTV. High Noon Entertainment produced two seasons of the show, which last aired in the spring of 2019. The company advertised for a new ‘remodel’ show featuring Boise homeowners who pay to remodel their homes with Caldwell and Robertson. The show does not have an airdate.
