Man Arrested In Fatal Friday Morning Stabbing In Roxbury

BOSTON (CBS) – Police have arrested a Chelsea man in the stabbing death of 27-year-old Damien Hughes on Southampton Street in Roxbury.

Cesar Valentin, 34, was arrested late Friday morning and will face a murder charge, police said.

Police said they responded to the stabbing at 7:27 Friday morning. Hughes was taken to a Boston hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police did not give a motive for the stabbing.

Valentin will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on Monday.
