Ohio State picked to make the College Football Playoff by ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit

Remember earlier in the year when everyone was not so smitten on Ohio State? That seems to be changing as of late. Not only is Ohio State ranked No. 5 in both major Preseason College Football Polls, but several analysts are now getting behind what the Buckeyes have the potential to be in 2019.

One of those analysts is none other than former Ohio State quarterback and current ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit. Herbie has often been perceived as having a hard time of balancing his allegiances with his Alma mater and objectivity, but he’s always been forthright and honest with what he believes.

So, the good news? This year, he thinks Ohio State will make the College Football Playoff despite a new head coach and overhaul to the coaching staff, and with the installation of new quarterback Justin Fields.

Herbstreit also has Alabama as the No. 1 seed, Clemson as the No. 2 seed, and Texas as the No. 4 seed in the mix with No. 3 seeded Ohio State.

But don’t get too excited yet Buckeye fans. Herbie has Ohio State losing to Clemson, with the Tigers and Tide meeting once again in the national championship game. He has ‘Bama getting revenge and winning the title once again.
