The Cardiff office of national law firm Clarke Willmott, which recently celebrated its fourth anniversary in the city, has joined the South Wales Chamber of Commerce.

Being in South Wales every day has allowed all in the Cardiff office to build on the relationships we already had in the region and to create new connections and delighted to be working alongside South Wales Chamber of Commerce and look forward to building relationships with their members over the coming months and years to come.

Clarke Willmott in 2015 made the strategic decision to open a permanent office in Cardiff as part of its commitment to the wider Welsh community.

As part of a national law firm operating from seven centres across the UK with 600 staff and partners, our local and regional expertise is supported by national resources across Wales and England and we offer a wide range of business and private client legal services to our clients.

Many of the expanding team of twenty lawyers and support staff in Cardiff have spent their careers working in and understanding the issues that affect the Welsh economy; the impact of devolution through Welsh government; and the wider business community and the ongoing success of the region is important to us.

The team brings the specialist knowledge, entrepreneurial spirit and client-focused attitude that Clarke Willmott prides itself on.

Vicky Kells, Partner / Head of Cardiff Office of Clarke Willmott commented:

“I am delighted that we are joining South Wales Chamber of Commerce.

“As the voice of South Wales business, they are the ideal partner to develop our links with the business community further. Plans are already underway to for collaborative activities working with our dedicated relationship manager including a joint tour of Hinkley Point C.”

Heather Myers, Chief Executive of South Wales Chamber of Commerce said:

“To have Clarke Willmott, a very well-respected UK law firm, join the Chamber is fabulous news. The passion for supporting their Welsh clients is clear to see.

It will be a pleasure to welcome them to many of our signature networking events, as well as helping them expand their engagement within the Welsh business community.

I am very much looking forward to the joint Chamber and Clarke Willmott tour of the building of Hinkley Point C. The new nuclear power plant in Somerset has already generated £1.3bn of contracts for South West and South Wales companies, with significant opportunities available.”
