Lincoln has been on a roll with its new luxury models lately. The all-new Aviator revealed last year looks stunning, and now the new Corsair has just landed at the 2019 New York Auto Show, slotting below the Navigator and replacing the MKC crossover. And it's arguably one of the best-looking small SUVs we've seen in a while.

Lincoln's smallest crossover looks extremely elegant in the metal, with its smooth lines and sloping roofline inspired by its larger Aviator sibling. Under the skin, the 2020 Corsair shares the same platform as the Ford Escape. For the first time in a Lincoln, the Corsair also features a rear integral bush suspension allowing for a smoother ride.

Inside, the luxurious interior is remarkably quiet thanks to a dual-wall dashboard in the engine bay that keeps vibrations outside the cabin and an Active Noise Control system. Just like the Aviator, the audio chimes that alert the driver are unique and were recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Wi-Fi and an eight-inch SYNC3 infotainment screen come as standard, while options include a specially tuned 14-speaker Revel audio system and Lincoln's Perfect Position 24-way adjustable seats with massage function. Second-row passengers get more legroom and flexibility thanks to the sliding seats that offer up to six inches of travel and a 60/40 fold-flat or split-bench option. Lincoln even claims the Corsair offers more legroom in the second row than many larger luxury SUVs including the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Tesla Model X.

Customers will have a choice of two turbocharged four-cylinder engines for the 2020 Lincoln Corsair: a base 2.0-liter with 250 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, and a 2.3-liter with 280 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is offered as standard, but an all-wheel drive system will be optional that can switch from front- to all-wheel drive seamlessly depending on the road conditions. There are also five driving modes: Normal, Excite, Slippery, Deep Conditions and Conserve.

Sales for the 2020 Lincoln Corsair kick off this fall, with pricing details to be revealed closer to launch.
