Report: Local pilot flew into bad weather before crash, despite warning
A Gardnerville man was warned Feb. 3 of deteriorating weather conditions east of a Fullerton, Calif., airport but took off in the airplane toward the east, the National Transportation Safety Board reported.
The NTSB has released the Aviation Accident Preliminary Report for the crash that killed Antonio “Tony” Pastini, 75, who operated several restaurants in the Reno, Carson City and Douglas County areas.
