Carson City Fire Department knock down attic fire at Gillis Way home
UPDATE: The fire at a Gillis Way home was contained to the attic and quickly knocked down, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Tuesday afternoon to a structure fire at a home in the 2900 block of Gillis Way near Sonoma Park.
The fire was reported at 2:35 p.m. and was said to be in the attic of the home. Those inside were evacuated. First responders on scene report smoke coming from the residence.
Carson City Sheriff's Office was re-directing traffic in the area to allow for fire engines to get through. Firefighters on scene were working to knock it down. Outside agencies have been called to assist.
The cause is unknown at this time.
