Carson City Fire Department called to brush fire in the area of Fairview and Lepire
UPDATE 3:56PM: Forward progress on the fire was stopped at around 1/4 an acre, according to a Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief on scene.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Sunday afternoon to a brush fire in the area of Fairview and Lepire Drive in the Moffat Open Space area.
The call came into 911 dispatch at around 3:40 p.m. First responders report the brush fire is around 1/4 of an acre in size and growing with flames and smoke visible. No structures are threatened at this time.
Multiple fire units have been called. There is a potential of spread, according to a battalion chief on scene.
Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area to allow for fire engines. Traffic is being diverted away so that fire engines can get to the fire.
