Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Man booked on peeping, coercion and drug charges
A transient man was arrested Friday afternoon at 1:20 p.m. in the 2700 block of Bel Aire Way on multiple offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, including felony coercion and heroin possession as well as misdemeanor harassment, obstruction and two counts of misdemeanor peeping.
Robert Gallina was taken into custody Friday after multiple calls of a peeper looking into the windows of homes in the neighborhood.
According to the arrest report, two residents reported a male subject on their properties looking through windows into their homes. He then proceeded to knock on their doors and asked to use their telephones.
Both residents refused him entry and contacted authorities.
The suspect fled from the first house and ran from Sheriff's deputies after telling the resident he was wanted by police and that he had heroin on him, the report said.
When the second resident denied him entry to use the telephone, the suspect hopped the fence into a neighbor's back yard, where he was later found by deputies hiding under an RV.
Gallina had been involved in a dispute with a female victim two days earlier. According to the victim, Gallina had given her stolen jewelry to hold.
When Gallina learned the victim had the jewelry returned to the rightful owner, he became upset and confronted her at an establishment, yelling and screaming at her.
The victim reported that she grew afraid of Gallina and locked herself in the establishment's bathroom.
Gallina then reportedly got kicked out of the establishment and the victim was able to leave at that point, the report said.
However, Gallina confronted her again the next day outside in the parking lot of the same establishment, the victim reported, yelling at her to fix the situation by lying to the jewelry owners that he did not steal from them.
The victim told law enforcement that Gallina threatened to hurt her and her family if she did not do as he demanded.
He refused to let her close the door to her vehicle, the victim reported, stating that he knew where she lived and threatened to go there to harm her and her family.
A call to authorities was made from inside the establishment, but Gallina had reportedly left on foot before they arrived.
Gallina was placed in custody after deputies located him under the RV and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking.
During the intake search, a bundle of black substance suspected to be heroin was located on his person.
Bail: $25,323.

The persons involved in the fights with the suspect were interviewed by law enforcement, reporting that the latter had come out of nowhere and began fighting with them. No spoken words or provocations were reported prior to the suspect starting the fights, the report said.
Deputies observed that the parties involved in the fighting appeared intoxicated, stating they did not want to press charges.
The suspect exercised his Miranda rights to remain silent, the report said, but security surveillance footage showed him removing his sweatshirt and attempting to attack one of the subjects involved in the fighting.
Another subject, though, stepped in between them in an effort to keep the suspect away, the surveillance footage showed. Then the parties began pushing and shoving, eventually colliding with a gaming machine.

Security did wish to press charges against the suspect for disorderly conduct and sought for him to be formally trespassed from the premises, the report said.
