Body discovered by hiker ID'd as missing elderly Carson City man
UPDATE: The cause of death has yet to be determined by the Washoe County Medical Examiners Office. No evidence of foul play was located and exposure to the elements may be a factor in the man's death, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

The Washoe County Medical Examiners Office has identified the body of a man discovered by a hiker Tuesday in the hills north of Carson City.
The deceased is James Tickner, 74, who had been reported missing by the Carson City Sheriff's Office earlier this month. He was last seen Nov. 30.
Tickner was reported missing on Dec. 3, 2019 by his roommate in Carson City. He was known to frequent the McDonald’s at Winnie Lane and North Carson Street, Mills Park and the Smith’s grocery store.
The Washoe County Medical Examiner said the cause and manner of death are pending investigation.
At approximately 1:48 p.m., Tuesday, a hiker in the hills between Carson Tahoe Hospital and Lakeview Estates discovered the remains of the body which were largely buried in snow.
