Thousands Of Customers Still Without Power In Northwest Indiana After Monday's Wind Damage

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Thousands of customers are still without power Wednesday morning, after Monday's damaging winds.

According to NIPSCO, nearly 50,000 customers were without power on Monday.

NIPSCO reported Wednesday that around 3,300 customers are still without power and an additional 4,000 customers are experiencing new outages.

"Crews continue to work around-the-clock to repair damaged poles, downed trees and broken power lines caused by this two-day wind event," officials said.
